FULL MATCH – John Cena vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell Match: Hell in a Cell 2014

FULL MATCH – John Cena vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell Match: Hell in a Cell 2014

[MUSIC] Triple H has won six times
inside Hell in a Cell. Tied with The Undertaker for
most wins ever inside that structure. And he said your career will never, ever be the same after competing
inside Hell in a Cell.>>Don’t know when. You just wanna survive.>>The door will be padlocked. Cena and Orton and King. The stakes couldn’t be much higher.>>Yeah I’ve got to disagree with you JB. You’re right about one thing. You do want to survive but
this particular Hell in a Cell match, both of these superstars want
to win in the worst way.>>You’re right King, I misspoke. I’m just saying your thoughts are not
just about winning it’s about surviving I should have said.>>Yes I agree.
And the winner of this match will become next in line to face WWE World
Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar.>>27 world Championships
between these two.>>Cena a 15 time World Champion, one shy of the record from
the Nature Boy Ric Flair.>>The greatest of this generation are both right there in that ring. And you can bet watching at home in the
WWE Network is a gentleman by the name of Brock Lesnar. His advocate Paul Heyman telling us on the
Hell in a Cell kickoff show that Lesnar indeed will be watching. And here we go, Orton and Cena starting things off in this
matchup inside Hell in a Cell. You win via pinfall or submission. Will be no count-outs, will be no disqualifications
inside this steel structure. And an elbow by Orton catches Cena. King, we saw the mood Randy Orton
was in earlier on tonight. Stephanie McMahon telling Randy,
channel your anger towards Seth Rollins. At Cena tonight.>>Yeah and from the way this match has
started that’s exactly what the Viper is doing. Look he’s already eyeing
that menacing cell. You know that cell is
going to come into play. It’s going to do it’s share of
damage to these two superstars. Blocked. And now Randy Orton on the attack of Cena. Cena just trying to stay away.>>Move!>>[NOISE]
>>Blocked again!>>And now John Cena fighting again.>>You can bet the moment that one
of them thinks he has the other one. He’s got it covered because
they know what it’s all about.>>Not only-
>>This is not just about beating your opponent. It is about getting to Brock Lesnar. That WWE World Heavyweight Championship.>>And I think John, not only that. But for
Randy Orton as he slithers to the cover. Here’s the hook to the leg on Cena. Two count and a kick out. For Randy Orton this is an opportunity,
I think, to prove that he still is high man
on the totem pole in the authority. That Seth Rollins may be the future,
but the future is not yet now.>>You’re right about that. What is the Viper looking for
underneath that ring? There’s no telling.>>Whatever it is, it will be legal.>>Steel chair.>>Toys come out.>>No absence of malice from this man,
the WWE’s apex predator. Cena thwarts the attack. Fits in a suflex by Cena.>>That he is surrounded
by steel was not enough. There you go John.>>Now, there’s steel in the ring.>>Cena trying to use the chair
as well and this time it’s Orton. Playing defense and
right back on the attack. Head butt from Randy.>>27 world champions between these two. And you can see the urgency
that both these guys have. Those who have talked about John Cena
being such a nice guy, he is but in the ring tonight I guarantee you his mind
is on one thing and that is Brock Lesnar. And to do that he has to beat Randy Orton.>>No one ever mistakes Orton for
being a nice guy, that’s for sure. Cover, calls for the ref to count.>>One, two!
Hooks the legs, Cena at two, powers out.>>[NOISE]
>>Listen to the sound of that steel chair. Ooh! Echoed throughout this entire
arena across John’s back.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>Randy Orton setting up that chair between the ropes.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>Now John Cena going for the edge. Randy Orton almost got caught. Did he plant Cena? Stands him straight up! Here’s the cover! Is it enough? Hooks the leg!>>[NOISE]
>>And, Cena has to power out again at two.>>John Cena hardly gets over
when Randy Orton can’t cover him. It’s not too smart when you
get close to that steel.>>Hey John the fact that Orton has
a victory over Cena inside Hell in a Cell once in his career, does that come
into play at all here tonight?>>I don’t think so, not when you’re
talking about 27 world champs. I keep saying it over and
over, between them. Look this isn’t just about fighting for
the best of this generation. This is about fighting for
one of the best of all time. The stakes could not be higher.>>Cena is in trouble, King.>>This is what
Randy Orton’s wanting to do. That steel, that can tear your flesh. [SOUND]
>>Torturing Cena.>>Welcome to Hell in a Cell.>>[NOISE]
>>This rivalry over a decade in the making. Orton cover again to face Lesnar and
Cena powers out. Both these men entering
WWE at the same time 2002. Ironically, it was that year that
Brock Lesnar also entered WWE and won his first title. Clothesline by Orton, again. Orton with the majority of the offense. Here in the early going. And Cena, again has to kick out at two. Cena and Orton have been
through it all in their career.>>Shut up!>>Randy Orton became
the youngest champion.>>Youngest champion ever.>>World record.>>Here’s the cover,
hook to the leg, and Cena at two.>>I know I’ve said it before,
I don’t wanna sound trite, this is the defining moment of
both of these men’s career. You mentioned it before John,
arguably the two best of this generation. You got a 12 world champion, a 15,
two of the best of all time, this is about where your place is
on wrestlings’ mount Rushmore.>>[NOISE]
>>And what’s been surprising about this so far, is Randy Orton has been
dominating Cena in the early going.>>Now, then.>>And Cena though, has Randy Orton. Is it enough for
John Cena to clothesline in a kick out?>>Randy is gloating.>>Yes. Taking way too long to gloat. I don’t know if he gets so wrapped up,
so absorbed in his, in himself, that he forgets he’s got an opponent
like John Cena in there or he just really thinks
he has that much time. It’s always.>>Well, in fairness, it’s not
an opponent like John Cena, there.>>I know. That’s what I mean. Well for Randy, King,
it’s always about Randy.>>Cover, hooks the leg of Cena.>>As it should be.>>Randy Orton said that
it’s a singular sport. This isn’t a team sport.>>Randy Orton said, and I quote, Cena has
no business being in the same ring as me. He’s been the bane of my existence for
the past decade.>>Well, I’ll agree with the second
statement, not the first. Orton called himself royalty,
a third generation superstar. Called Cena punk kid. Look at that, steel cell to Cena.>>Well, there’s a healthy respect
that comes with rivalries and there’s also a disdain that
comes with rivalries and I think we’re looking at pure disdain
on the part of Randy Orton here.>>Randy again with a cover,
is it enough here? And again a near fall for Orton.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>Again, capacity crowded of 15,303 tonight at
the American Airline center in Dallas. First of our two main events
inside Hell in a Cell. Orton versus Cena, winner to face
Lesnar for the WWE world title. And Kane here comes Cena.>>You knew at some point in time Cena was going to be able to build up momentum. He’s got it now. You can’t see. Wait a minute. Powerslam, Orton for the victory
to become number one contender and again John Cena has to power out.>>It looks like
Randy Orton could see Cena.>>Saw him well enough to plant
a boot right to the side of his head. Followed up with that scoop slam.>>[NOISE]>>[NOISE] I think Orton is->>[NOISE]>>When he gets John Cena in this position,
he just can’t really keep from grinning. That just devilish grin on his face, woah!>>That’ll buy Cena some time. [SOUND]
>>Cena needs it desperately.>>I think you’re right, King. Randy Orton dislikes John Cena so
much he does gloat.>>Yes.
>>And sometimes to his chagrin. [SOUND] We’ve always known that
Randy Orton finds humor in the misfortunes of others, but especially so
in John Cena’s misfortune.>>And now John Cena using his power and
using the cell to his advantage. Boy. I don’t know what John
had in mind there but it wasn’t going to be good-
>>No!>>Man.>>Randy Orton.>>[NOISE]
>>Watch as Cena’s-
>>And doesn’t need much description,
slammed into the steel ring post.>>And then following it up
with a back and neck breaker. In the corner and now working trying
to drag Cena back to the ring. Remember the fall has to
take place inside the ring.>>That’s right it’s not
falls count anywhere. Randy’s gotta get him back in the ring.>>Randy, come on.>>It’s all legal but you have to pin
your opponent in the middle of that ring.>>Or make him submit. There are no count-outs or
disqualifications. Orton, cover, for a chance to beat Lesnar,
and a kick-out by John Cena.>>[NOISE]
>>John Cena is hurting.>>[NOISE]
>>Boy.>>Randy Orton launching
Cena right into the cell! [NOISE]
>>That’s almost the exact same thing in the cell
that ended Tim White’s career.>>Yeah, the former referee,
veteran referee here in WWE, Tim White. Injured himself on almost
that exact same move.>>[NOISE]
>>Tim White would never return to the ring after that incident.>>Some of John Cena’s
distracted stumbling, RKO here.>>Randy Orton!>>It’s deadly, getting the Viper
slammed hard into the steel. Jerry maybe John Cena can now [SOUND]
gain some momentum and get back in this. It’s been all Orton for the most part.>>Well, there comes a time in
these matches when you have to decide whether that Hell in
a Cell is gonna be friend or foe.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>You can obviously use it to your advantage just as
John’s doing right now.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>More toys.>>It’s Christmas in Dallas.>>[APPLAUSE]>>John Cena now with
the advantage in the match. Randy Orton still trying to
recover outside the ring. There you see him. Now, if you’re John Cena,
you don’t wanna give->>Yeah, Randy may wanna stay out there, that table is what’s awaiting him.>>Yeah, Cena needs to go get Randy cuz
you don’t wanna give him too much R and R time, see what I’m telling you?>>Now Orton slides right
back into the ring and Randy Orton’s so quick, John Cena!>>The strength of John Cena.>>Use the AA, Randy Orton,
[INAUDIBLE] tables and a drop-kick!>>The brilliance Of Randy Orton,
standing drop-kick for the win, by Orton! Cena kicks out!>>The great ones make it look easy!>>What a drop-kick.>>[NOISE]
>>Now into that steel chair that Orton had set up earlier! Randy again-
>>Win it->>And a kick-out again by Cena! It’s been near-fall after near-fall for
Orton, who’s dominated much of this match-up.>>The winner gets Brock Lesnar, for
the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!>>I’d forgotten about that
steel chair in the corner. I think John had as well, but
look at this, Randy Orton.>>[NOISE]
>>Randy Orton put it there and it served him well.>>[NOISE]
>>Randy Orton folding up that table.>>He’s got other ideas.>>Or else he’s using-
>>Other ideas on how to use this table to his advantage.>>[NOISE]
>>Remember, John, Randy Orton and John Cena met last December at the TLC
Pay-Per-View in a tables, ladders, and chairs match for
the WWE World Heavyweight title. A match that Randy Orton was way-
>>That’s right, Randy Orton became the first
WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Sinister smile [INAUDIBLE]
the face of Randy.>>He knows what’s in the future of John Cena and that table. And here it comes.>>Slide, safe!>>[NOISE]
>>Now Cena again.>>What an RKO,
what an RKO from out of nowhere!>>And Cena kicked out! Orton thought he had Cena,
he can’t believe it. Maybe on instinct alone,
John Cena able to survive. What an RKO!>>Man, man. Orton, this is your best shot. Whether you like Randy, or you don’t. It don’t matter. That RKO right there, a thing of beauty. Watch this.
>>[APPLAUSE]>>One show One RKO.>>Absolutely incredible and
somehow Cena stayed in it.>>Randy Orton can’t believe it. I can’t either! [SOUND] Cena driven into the table. Is that enough for Orton?>>I can’t believe that. Is this enough for Randy Orton to
become number one contender for the WWE world title? And Cena again.>>[NOISE]>>Come on, Orton.>>Come on!>>Come on, Orton.>>Randy Orton’s pleading with
the referee, thinks that was a slow count.>>[NOISE]
>>John crashing through that table.>>[NOISE]
>>And Cena’s in bad shape right now.>>Yeah, but-
>>You gotta think of something, Randy!>>But the problem is,
Orton can’t put him away, King. Randy Orton’s done everything he can to
John Cena, and Cena’s still in this match.>>I know, and you can see from the look
on Orton’s face, he’s just thinking. What else can I do? What else can I use?>>He’s used chairs, tables,
he’s used the cell as a weapon.>>Randy will think of something,
believe me. See what I mean?>>Might be the steps, I guess.>>The only thing that limits you on
Hell in a Cell is your imagination, and Randy has a vivid imagination. [SOUND] Cena has-
>>I don’t know what’s gonna happen.>>Barely moved.>>I can’t figure-
>>But this doesn’t end well.>>Yeah.>>Get the top. Let’s get the bottom half, the heaviest,
the biggest half of those steel steps.>>Cena has not moved. I can only imagine what
the Viper has in mind.>>Brock Lesnar,
World Heavyweight Championship, your legacy, where you fit in history,
all at stake right here. And look at the Viper, he’s coiled, he’s
ready, ready to strike a moments notice. Notice.>>There’s an RKO on those steps. It’s all over for John Cena.>>I gotta agree with you, Jamie O. And I think that’s what
the Viper’s thinking as well. RKO-
>>Get ready, Brock.>>Steel steps, yes.>>Cena, counter.>>Uh-oh, uh-oh! And it’s Orton who feels the steps!>>Man.>>Orton feels the steps!>>Man!>>Five knuckle shuffle from Cena. Randy Orton’s spine hitting the steps.. Cena now thinks he has
Orton where he wants him.>>I think he does as well.>>Gone for the AA, has Randy Orton
up on his shoulders, gone for the AA, Orton back down. And a low blow, completely legal,
low blow legal inside Hell in a Cell.>>You do what you have to do.>>[NOISE]
>>Yep, desperate times call for desperate measures.>>[NOISE]
>>And I think John Cena was->>A kick-out, a kick-out! Again, Orton’s gotta be wondering
what he has to do to put Cena away. A low blow couldn’t do it.>>Yeah, I think John had in mind, to attitude-adjust the Viper
right on those steel steps. The last moment, Randy put a stop to that.>>Randy, Randy, Randy,
Randy, Randy, Randy!>>Randy’s pleading his
case with the referee. More than once, he’s thought that
the referree gave a slow count Just think Randy can’t believe that
John Cena hasn’t been beaten yet. taking out his frustrations
on the referee.>>Again I’m gonna say what I said before
John, Orton’s done everything he can, what else can the guy do? He’s used tables, chairs, steps, the cell
RKO from out of nowhere, a low blow.>>Have you seen Randy’s
career the last 12 years? Randy Orton will think of something.>>Yeah, I gotta agree with JBL, Michael. Randy Orton’s evil intentiosn are.>>[LAUGH]
>>No, no, no. Randy Orton’s looking at Cena’s kids.>>Here we go.>>He’s trying to end the match and
maybe the career of John Cena. Randy Orton Looking for the punt on Cena,
Cena rolls out of the way.>>Toe hold. Looks for the STF, Cena locks it in. Orton’s got nowhere to go,
is Orton going to tap out?>>Now it’s Orton in big trouble. Watch his hands.>>Is Randy Orton going to tap out?>>Championship opportunity is waiting.>>Man [NOISE]
>>Orton’s leg could snap here.>>[NOISE]
>>Randy Orton makes it to the bottom rope. But, guys, remember, we’re inside Hell in
a Cell, it doesn’t force a break here. The referee does not have to force
a break inside Hell in a Cell.>>Orton just realized that
he just did that on instinct.>>And now Randy Orton trying to use the
rope to help him break this hold on Cena. That was smart by Randy.>>Very smart.>>Done a lot of damage.>>The only thing that Randy can do.>>Wait a minute. Job.>>[NOISE]
>>My God.>>Man, Cena.>>No.>>Orton he doesn’t even realize what-
>>No, this is bad. He’s gonna [INAUDIBLE]
>>Cena launching the Steps of Justice at Orton!>>God! Thank god Randy’s quick. That would have ended Orton’s career! And more.>>[NOISE]
>>Uh-oh, Cena bounced off the steel post.>>John Cena is a nice guy, he’d take it
back as it relates to his match tonight. Cena knows exactly what’s at stake here.>>And he has to do anything, and
I mean anything, to beat Randy Orton.>>[NOISE]
>>And so does Orton, these two guys are trying to
tear each other limb for limb. Can you imagine-
>>Imagine this.>>Yeah, can you imagine being Randy Orton
seeing these coming right at you? My God.
You guys, let’s not forget about John Cena, lopsided
loss to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Night of Champions, he battled back, I think he had Lesnar beat before
the disqualification by Rollins. Cena wants Lesnar again to
prove he can beat the Beast. [NOISE]
>>No, John Cena, quickly.>>He did it again,
Cena has done it again!>>Orton kicked out at two,
a near fall for Cena!>>I have never fat seen anyone who has
a way of winning more big matches than John Cena.>>But he was won nothing yet.>>No one!>>He hasn’t won yet though and it looked like he had just
pulled another rabbit out of the hat. I’ve never seen anyone who could
dig deeper than John Cena.>>Yeah, but
you’ve got to give Randy Orton credit. That looked like it was the end. I mean catching him hard in that AA and
somehow Randy survived it. Another one?>>Going for another one! Going for another
Attitude Adjustment on Randy Orton!>>[APPLAUSE]
>>[INAUDIBLE]>>John Cena delivers! That one with a-
>>Wait a minute, what a counter, what a counter by Orton! Orton for the victory,
and Cena powers out! What a counter by Randy Orton!>>[NOISE]
>>That was brilliant.>>What an incredible
counter by the Viper.>>[NOISE]
>>Watch this, watch carefully.>>[NOISE]
>>AA coming, but watch Orton, the last-second hook.>>Turns it into almost
an inverted RKO guys.>>This is the first
time I’ve ever seen that.>>Hooks John Cena’s head
as he coming down and smashed Cena face-first into the match.>>Randy Orton screaming at the official,
thought it was a three count, Cena survived again.>>[SOUND]
>>This is [CROSSTALK]>>Watch this.>>[APPLAUSE]
>>You’re right, I don’t think we’ve ever
seen Orton do that. Cena, AA this time. This time he gets the AA. This time he hooks the leg, and
will get Randy Orton kicks out.>>Man, man.>>What an incredible match.>>My money is on Randy Orton.>>And now it’s Cena who’s
disappointed and frustrated and trying to figure out what he
needs to do to knock off Randy. Again, two of the all time
greats battling it out for an opportunity at the WWE World
heavyweight title.>>Battling, and
how they’re destroying each other!>>More toys.>>Another table!>>When someone kicks out of
your AA not once but twice, it’s time to dig down deep and figure out
what you’re gonna do, and go to the well. That’s what Cena’s dong.>>I’d just got to the, well,
you better admit something. You better figure out something
that’s gonna beat your opponent. These guys know each other so well.>>I think John’s figuring an AA, right
through that table might do the trick. But wait, maybe not.>>That’s not an AA.>>I think Cena is gonna go
after that leg drop, King. I think Cena is going for the leg drop. Randy Orton caught on the table.>>This could break Randy in half.>>John Cena top rope,
Randy Orton, though.>>[NOISE]
>>Survival by the Viper.>>[NOISE]
>>What a match.>>No kidding. Orton’s surveying the situation,
he sees that->>Uh-oh.>>That chair.>>Orton’s gonna literally-
>>You wonder what’s going through the mind of Brock Lesnar.>>I think Randy is gonna
turn the tables on Cena here.>>Never bring something in the ring that
you don’t wanna go through yourself. Brock Lesnar can say what he wants but I don’t believe Lesnar would relish the
thought of facing either one of these men.>>Looking for RKO.>>Man.>>John Cena.>>Look at this.>>Sitting up on the top turnbuckle,
Randy Orton.>>Uh-oh, Cena countered. Straight right hand by Randy. Man! Man, Randy Orton high above the ring,
high above the ring! AA through the table. AA through the table. Here’s the cover! John Cena, he’s the number one
contender for the WWE world title.>>Here’s your winner, John Cena!>>Say what you want about John Cena,
but ladies and gentlemen, Cena earned this victory tonight!>>[NOISE]
>>Right of our generation.>>What a win! [MUSIC]>>[NOISE]
